Paige, you definitely know how to shine.
This day was absolutely perfect! Forsythia, cherry blossom, magnolias, and crab apples were all in full bloom, not to mention the sun and Paige were on top form for this special session.
This is the second communion photo shoot I've done for the Bryants, talk about feeling the love! Of course it was a no brainer when we made sure to take advantage of the gorgeous spring backdrop at Ault Park again.
She patiently walked all over the park, up the stairs, down the stairs, rinse and repeat. All in heels and always with a confident smile. Thank you my dear for working so hard to make my photographs come to fruition and creating memories to last a lifetime.
Dressing for your spring photo session on a budget!
Look. I know picking outfits for your photo session feels hard, but it doesn't have to be!
I'm going to include some amazing styles on a budget AND to fit all shapes and sizes.
My goal is to feature a store in the Cincinnati area, so shopping for your sessions with me should be a breeze and your family will look absolutely FABULOUS.
This week's store feature is Old Navy! Their styles are affordable, adorable, fit many size ranges, and can be found in store, today.
I am in love with these combos! Pink and blue in the spring just scream sunshine, flowers, and fresh air. All of these can be found at your local Old Navy for spring 2019 and you'll be ready to book your photo session in no time. Can't you imagine you and your crew being photographed among the flowers at Ault Park, RIGHT NOW?
Hey lovelies! I am P U M P E D to now offer a rad referral program for my sweet clients! Thank you so much for being a part of my journey and helping support my woman-led, small business. I look forward to seeing your faces sooner than later!
I met this wonderful family last summer and I was thrilled to hear from them again and share another set of memories with them! Michael is full of wonder and excitement, and Leah has a smile that can be seen for miles. That paired up with fantastic parents who take my instructions in stride (bahahah), is a recipe for beautiful images! Thank you D family!
So we did a short trip to Edisto island and happened upon this hidden gem with our family (14 of us!). I knew I had to come back with my camera to capture the beauty and adventure this place had to offer. Giant shells in perfect shape, fallen bleached trees with a backdrop of palms lined behind them, tiny tide pools for the kids to splash in, formations of seagulls flying overhead endlessly. I couldn't get enough! We only spent an hour there but I could've sat there all day with a book and my thoughts. Here are some of the carefree, unposed memories I was able to capture.
I met Emerson and her mommy for a quick session in the flowers. Little did we know that we were about to be derailed by miserable rain showers and highway construction. I typically cancel in moments like these (for the rain) but circumstances made it to where I wouldn't be able to come back to the field until after the flowers had already died. Well mother nature showed us her true glory that evening. The rain died down to a mist and skies parted just a sliver so the sun could shine down on Emme. I had to push my camera harder than I've done in a long time but this has to be one of my favorite sets of images ever. Thanks for looking, guys!
I've photographed this amazing family countless amounts of times and each time I love it more than the last. They're naturals in front of the camera, smarties obsessed, and follow "Miss Jen's" rigid instructions when told. This session was absolutely amazing! We hit up different parts of the city and chased the sun for these beauties. There's nothing better than having an amazing time while doing your job (is this real life?!)
I absolutely loved meeting Maya for the first time this week. Her mama and I met on an online moms group many years ago and have been friends ever since. Jennifer's pregnancy was full of unknowns and new situations to navigate but Maya came in to this world as perfect as they come. You can look straight in to her eyes and see that she's been here before. I absolutely wanted to sneak her in my camera bag and run home! Welcome earthside, Maya...the world has been waiting for you!
We try to hit up the sunflower fields each year and while they always end up being my favorite images of my children, the ever-growing crowds are becoming unpleasant. I waited until the last 20 minutes of sunlight to capture this series of my little ones. The colors, richness, and connection OWN my heart. We're moving soon and I'm thinking I need to make a wall collage from this series!
I cannot deal with this chub! Olive is such a personality...she lights up a room whenever she enters. I definitely think she's our creative soul.
I always know how I want colors in my photos from the beginning of shooting. These definitely needed a warm, film-like, light and airy feel to them. I absolutely love this series and one of her images was featured over at The Happy Togs insta!
This is my third time photographing this family and every time I leave with a giant smile on my face! Eli is the sweetest little guy and full of personality. This time we did a session with the grandparents who were visiting from out of town! You could see the love and pride they had for this little guy, I hope they love these as much as I do.
I know I've featured these images over on my facebook a ton but I love this little series so much!
Aside from tidying my bathroom (ahem, hahahaha), all of these images were taken in 5-7 minutes and I get to love them forever. Little moments like these can be found all over your home which is what makes a lifestyle session so much fun! A sink bath, baking cookies, reading in a nook, playing in the backyard, jumping in puddles, and creating larger than life stories with imagination. Let me take a glimpse in to your little world and freeze time for you!
Welcome earthside, sweet Jude!
I was thrilled to shoot my first lifestyle newborn session of 2018 and maaaaaaaaan was it so sweet! I'm pretty sure little Jude didn't even make a single peep, much less a cry. So alert and eager to give his mama kisses and dad snuggles. I hope my future includes having this fabulous crew in front of my camera over and over again!
Where to start?! So many new families this year and I'm thrilled to have met this one for my last photo session of the year. We braved the cold for a beautiful sunrise as the backdrop of their session. I love working with families that show all the love in the world, are willing to give me their best smiles, and put up with my general wackiness.
Thank you G crew!
P.S. GIRLS RULE
Met up with this family for a photo session during the peak weekend of Ohio fall colors! This was my first time working with this crew and I had so much fun. Anya was full of personality and the three (four if you count little brother, in-utero!) of them were magazine worthy! Looking forward to capturing more memories in the future of this lovely family!
I met this adorable family and their pups for the first time for an urban style shoot! Love welcoming new people into the JRP family and they were so much fun to work with and even were graciously understanding about me being a little slower than usual with my broken elbow. Hope to see you soon, S family!
